On 09-11-2000, the State of Uttaranchal came into being as the 27th State of India as per the Uttar Pradesh State Re-organization Act, 2000. The State of Uttaranchal in exercise of the power granted to it under Section 63(4) of the State Re-organization Act, 2000, formed Uttaranchal Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd. and Uttaranchal Power Corporation Ltd. As per the provisions of Electricity Act, 2003, UPCL was bifurcated into two entities and Power Transmission Corporation of Uttaranchal Ltd. was created and registered as a Government Company under Section 617 of Companies Act, 1956 on 27th May, 2004 and started functioning w.e.f. 1st June, 2004.

Age Limit:- Applicant age limit should be between 18 and 40 years as on 01-07-2013. Age relaxation will be applicable as per the rules.
Minimum Qualification:-
Applicant should possess Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 60% marks from any recognized university.
Last Date:- 30.11.2013
Selection Process:- Through written test and Interview.
